you dont understand the fiber optic went live thats live internet not internet from the settliets thats what i mean when i say the internet went live internet in the past was slow and i know kenya data networks has friber optic cables all across the counrty digital tv is good i support it

sorry man the fiber connection is not the internet and it has been there for a long time, its just a faster connection, but i will try to share your optimism. But this is a decadent show.

we are making a better place for the future generation and am sure is gona impact them in a postive way. and that internet is not ten years my friend it just been in kenya for 4 months since the fiber went live and it takes time i can say all my friends are computer litrate in kenya so i guess our children are gona be so thats why i say we will catch up

i mean i understand what you are saying but when will they catch up? The internet has been here for the past 10+ years and how many public school and people own computer or are connected to the web, and how many people are computer literate.

boom it may be but according to the market demanding it, so you may be right on benefits of the entity but wrong on its application. do not be short sighted by overseas endeviors.

yes but digital tv will benefit us in the long run ppl will justt have to adjust and its on a time frame first nairobi then the rest of kenya and in a period of 3 years i think its great coz more local content ,more talent on tv.more educational shows, kwani how man pple have mobile phones in kenya they can aford a box for ksh 2000

you are absolutely right and how are they going to get the digital box converter since 52% of the population lives on a dollar a day, should we talk about standard of living and good essential infrastructure before embarking on cheap publicity.

digital tv is the boom you stupid people digital is interactive and provides more bandwith for more tv stations radio stations ,more jobs and better democracy

seriously? in the rest of the world (the developed world at least) TV as you know it is losing market & providers are struggling to stay afloat because of internet. i'd recommend do some reading. my "prayer' is all Kenyan "leaders" drop DEAD!! to me this is a joke and highlights our misplaced priorities as well as high level of ignorance.

and done from the billions Obama has given Kenya.

Hunger, poverty, unemployment, no healthcare for 99% of Kenyans, sorry state of infrastructure , lack of good schools, clean drinking water and electricity in rural areas etc etc etc. Then here comes the pumbavu president launching DTV, where is the govts priorities in providing the very basic needs for majority of Kenyans. Talk about climbing the tree from the top.

wtf kenya has 40% unemployment who care about DTV figure your shit out you krazy kountry!

hahaha, was just thinking in the same line. The head of state should not be launching old tech like these. I just pictured Obama launching some new T.V tech, never in a thousand years. Common Kenyans we can do better than this. I thought the president had his hands full. These leaders are joking......

The dump kenyans will use it for entertainment and not current affairs, just google newspaper readership bet the two competing giants for next super power india and china!Eu and USA have been readind for a century, while kenyans/eafricans us media for entertainment

Im disappointed small issues like this shoild be left to MPS ore company COES to launch imagine Pre Obama launching Digital Tv in America never My launch the public option healthcare!Kibaki should be busy pushing for the constitution,Better Economy and security for all kenyans

Now it's upto the broadcasting stations to make full use of this technology and assure that good programming is provided 24/7 mambo ya stupid nigerian show wawache, cause there will be a wider option to chose from.

is tht why they told us to log on. nonsense

Merry Christmas Jesus Christ Loves Forever Amen blogspot spread the good message

I meant to say he fell out with Odinga!

jama hehehehe, odinga was not there , please can you tel me what odinga did wrong to you so that we can pay you back coz here there is mzee mavi yakuku na okundi,

Look at Okundi. lol. He feel out with Odinga and was removed from the wings.

I see the profit makers taking again take advantage over helpless Kenyans 2012 instead of 2015 digital deadline... Kujipendekeza , on things that that really don't matter, yet....leaders muwache ku-present Kenya to be the whore of the world bwana!

12 years ago, africa is not so far away from germany why take this long?

Wait, what? That's a good thing, right?

great news, at least one sector in Kenya seems to be catching up with the rest of the world. digital is the way to go.
